Homeowner preparation
Plan the room before anyone lifts the glass.
Confirm the finished opening, mounting surfaces, swing path, tools, and handling help before installation day.
Prepare in this order.
This page helps a homeowner get ready. It does not replace the product manual or a qualified installer.
- Finish the opening
Measure finished tile or wall surfaces, not rough framing.
- Check the walls
Confirm plumb, condition, and secure support for heavy-glass hardware.
- Choose the swing
Plan left or right installation and keep the outward path clear.
- Protect the glass
Use two-person handling and keep tempered-glass edges away from hard surfaces.
The door needs room to move.
A vanity, toilet, towel bar, or wall return can interrupt the outward swing. If clearance is close or uncertain, send photos before ordering.

Our default recommendation
Use a qualified installer for heavy tempered glass.
DIY may be appropriate for experienced people who understand the manual, mounting surface, and glass-handling risks. When experience or wall condition is uncertain, professional installation is the safer path.
